JANE S. HALL, LCSW, FIPA, a founder of the New York School for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and past President of the New York Freudian Society, is a member of the IPA, ApsaA, American Association for Psychoanalysis on Clinical Social Work/NMCOP, and Division 39. A psychoanalyst who has taught, lectured, and consulted on how to deepen psychoanalytic work for the past twenty-five years, Hall is the author of two books: Roadblocks on the Journey of Psychotherapy (2004) and Deepening the Treatment (1998), published by Rowman & Littlefield. Currently on the faculties of NYFS, NYSPP, and the Metropolitan Institute. A graduate of the Hunter College School of Social Work, the Institute for the Study of Psychotherapy, and the New York Freudian Society, Hall is in private practice in New York City.

ARNOLD D. RICHARDS, MD was Editor of JAPA from 1994 to 2003 and before that was an Editor of TAP.  He is on the faculty of the New York Psychoanalytic Institute, NYU and Mount Sinai Medical Schools Departments of Psychiatry, a member of the American Psychological Association Division 39, Section 1, and member of the New York Freudian Society, and an honorary member of the Karen Horney Clinic and the New Jersey Psychoanalytic Society.  He is the editor with Martin S. Willick of: Psychoanalysis, the Science of Mental Conflict: Essays in Honor of Charles Brenner. Hillsdale, N.J.: Analytic Press, 1986; editor with Arlene Kramer Richards, Harold Blum, and Yale Kramer of: Unconscious Fantasy, Myth, and Reality in Honor of Jacob A. Arlow. KIMBERLY CHU, LCSW, MDiv, is a senior candidate at NYU Psychoanalytic Institute in both the Adult and Child & Adolescent training programs. Her analytic training comes at the end of a nearly ten year tenure at the Mount Sinai Hospital Psychiatry Department, where she was a supervisor, lecturer and bilingual clinician in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division. Ms. Chu holds a Diplomate in clinical social work and is a graduate of Princeton University, Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary in NY, where she studied social ethics with a concentration on race, class and gender. She is on the editorial board of The Candidate journal and is a contributor to the Handbook for Parents and Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Disorders of Sexual Development in Children (Intersex Society of North America, 2006). Ms. Chu is currently in full-time private practice where she sees adults, children, adolescents, and their families. In addition to generalist practice, she specializes in the treatment of issues related to diversity, identity, international and domestic adoption, and childhood abuse.

ANN D'ERCOLE, Ph.D., ABPP is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychology at the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis where she is Co-Chair of the Interpersonal Track and both Teaching Faculty and Supervisor; also Distinguished Visiting Faculty at William Alanson White Institute. She is Co-Editor of Uncoupling Convention: Psychoanalytic Approaches to Same-Sex Couples and Families (2004), Editor of the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Psychotherapy, Co-Editor of Psychotherapy with Gay Men and Lesbians: Contemporary Dynamic Approaches. (2003). Dr. D'Ercole is in full time private practice in New York City.

KENNETH EISOLD, Ph.D. A practicing psychoanalyst and organizational consultant, Dr. Eisold is past-President of The International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations, as well as current Chair of the Fellows of the William Alanson White Institute, where he also teaches and supervises. His papers and publications have focused recently on the psychodynamics of organizations as well as on such diverse topics as dreams, literature and psychoanalysis, theories of group behavior, and authority.

JAMES L. FOSSHAGE, Ph.D., is President of the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology (IAPSP), Past President of the Association for Autonomous Psychoanalytic Institutes (AAPI), and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Association for Relational Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis (IARPP).   He is Co-founder, Board Director and Faculty member of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NYC); Founding Faculty Member, Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity (NYC); and Clinical Professor of Psychology of the New York University Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.   He is an Editorial Board member of Psychoanalytic Inquiry, International Journal of Psychoanalytic  Self Psychology, and  Psychoanalytic Dialogues.   He is author of over 70 psychoanalytic publications, including 6 books, and currently working on a book focusing on the implicit and explicit dimensions of psychoanalytic change. JENNIFER R. HARPER, MDiv, NCPsyA, Licensed Psychoanalyst; President, NAAP; faculty member and former Dean of Psychoanalytic Training, Westchester Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (WITPP). Member, Board of Trustees, ABAP, Inc. A graduate of Union Theological Seminary in NYC, she is in private practice in New York City.

SAMUEL HERSCHKOWITZ, MD is a Training and Supervising Analyst in Brooklyn Heights who is presently the Director of the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute.  Prior to his directorship, Dr. Herschkowitz was Chair of the Education Committee of the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute and Chair of the Curriculum Committee.  In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Psychoanalytic Research and Development Fund ("PRDF").  The PRDF is a "think tank" organization that supports research within psychoanalysis by sponsoring study groups and seminars.  In association with this activity, Dr. Herschkowitz has participated in study group programs surrounding neuroscience, self esteem regulation, affective states and trauma due to the events of 9/11.   He is also the recipient of the Melitta Sperling Award as an outstanding psychoanalytic scholar and educator.

LILA J. KALINICH, MD is a training and supervising analyst at the Columbia Psychoanalytic Center for Training and Research where she has been on the faculty, teaching both theory and process, since 1976.  She has served on many institute committees, including the curriculum committee.  She was President of the Association for Psychoanalytic Medicine from 2005-2007.

ARLENE KRAMER RICHARDS, Ed. D. is a Fellow of IPTAR, a faculty member at New York Freudian Society, and has written about female development, female sexuality and perversions
